NASCAR Betting Odds: Who Are The Favorites To Win Talladega?

The NASCAR Cup Series circuit heads to the Talladega Superspeedway this Sunday for the Jack Link’s 500. It is the 10th race of the 2026 campaign and the third drafting-track race.

The race is scheduled for 188 laps and 500 miles around the 2.66-mile high-banked superspeedway.

There is often chaos anytime NASCAR heads to “Dega.” Whether it is “The Big One” that wipes out multiple cars or a side-by-side run to the checkered flag, there is no telling what will unfold.

Here, we will look at how the oddsmakers narrowed down the favorites to win at Talladega.

Team Penske drivers open as favorites to conquer Talladega

In the odds released by DraftKings Sportsbooks, as of Wednesday afternoon Eastern time, two Team Penske drivers enter as the favorites to win at “Dega.”

Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney are both at +1000 odds to win. Logano has led laps in the last six Talladega races, but has only managed a best finish of 16th on any of those occasions. The driver of the No. 22 is a three-time Talladega winner, with his latest win coming in April 2018.

Blaney, too, is a three-time Talladega winner, last winning in October 2023. The driver of the No. 12 has been a proven contender on the drafting tracks, with one example being his Daytona victory last September.

However, Talladega has stumped the 2023 Cup champion recently. In the last four races, Blaney has finished 20th or worse.

William Byron has the next-best odds at +1100. The driver of the No. 24 has four wins on drafting tracks in the NextGen era, two of them being Daytona 500 victories in 2024 and 2025.

Yet, the driver of the No. 24 has never won at “Dega.” The Hendrick Motorsports driver has found consistency at the track, however, with three top fives and five top 10s in the last six Talladega races.

Tyler Reddick enters “Dega” at +1400 to win. The driver of the No. 45 is aiming for his sixth win in 10 races to start the 2026 season.

At Talladega, the 23XI Racing driver was the victor in the Jack Link’s 500 in 2024. His last three Talladega finishes since then have been 20th or better, including a seventh-place effort last fall.

Longshots critical for NASCAR Talladega betting

With the unpredictable nature of Talladega, it is worth looking at the longshots.

Kyle Busch enters Talladega at +2200 to win. The driver of the No. 8 has a “Dega” win in the NextGen era, which came in 2023.

Perhaps more impressive, in a stat pulled by NASCAR Insights, Busch has finished on the lead lap in all eight of the Talladega NextGen races.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. comes in at +2500 to win. The driver of the No. 47 is a two-time Talladega winner, with his latest victory coming in October 2024.

Ryan Preece goes into Talladega at +3000 to win. In last year’s Jack Link’s 500, Preece finished runner-up to winner Austin Cindric before failing post-race inspection that led to a disqualification.

In three of the last five Talladega races, the driver of the No. 60 has finished 15th or better.

The Jack Link’s 500 is scheduled to get underway on Sunday, April 26 at 3 p.m. Eastern time. The race can be watched on FOX or listened to on the Motor Racing Network.
