On Saturday, the New York Yankees are playing the second game of their series with the New York Mets at Citi Field.

Earlier in the day, their Triple-A affiliate (SWB RailRiders) played the Syracuse Mets.

Gerrit Cole made another rehab start, as he continues to gear up for the 2026 MLB season.

The Yankees wrote (via X): “Today, the Yankees transferred the rehab assignment of RHP Gerrit Cole from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.”

Cole went 5.1 innings, allowing six hits and one run (with six strikeouts).

Cole last played in an MLB game during the 2024 season.

He went 8-5 with a 3.41 ERA in 17 games that year.
