Here’s what people were saying about Kimbrel on social media:
@HoffWFAN: “Craig Kimbrell’s career has died in Colorado.”
Michael Marino: “Quite the performance there by Craig Kimbrelâ¦yikes!”
@UnderdogMLB: “Jake McCarthy go-ahead grand slam off Craig Kimbrel 107.4 MPH, 448 feet”
@wOBAWanKenobi: “I think Craig Kimbrel needs to hang up the cleats already. I feel like he’s tarnishing a great career by becoming such a journeyman bouncing from team to team at the end of it”
@SleeperMets: “The fact that Craig Kimbrel is pitching the 8th inning of a 2-2 baseball game tells you everything you need to know… David Stearns completely failed this Mets bullpen.”
@RobBballHistory: “I have been rooting for him to be successful, but Craig Kimbrel needs to hang em up and retire. All he is doing and basically has done over the last 4 to 5 years is continue to diminish his résumé that voters are going to look at when he is up for Hall of Fame consideration. I still think he will get in, but he canât continue to be as bad as heâs been.”
