Miami Heat Announce Updated Injury Report For Hornets Game

On Tuesday night, the Miami Heat will be Charlotte to play the Hornets for the play-in tournament.

The Heat finished the regular season as the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 43-39 record.

For Tuesday’s game, they have announced their full injury report.

The Heat have ruled out Nikola Jovic and Dru Smith.

Pelle Larsson has been upgraded to available (after being listed as questionable).

Ira Winderman of Sun Sentinel wrote: “Heat say Pelle Larsson (leg contusion) will be available tonight in Charlotte in play-in game. Kel’el Ware woke up ill today but is listed as available.”

Larsson is a productive player for Miami, averaging 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field and 32.3% from three-point range in 70 games.

He had missed the team’s final game of the regular season, so getting him back in action for the play-in tournament is a notable development.

The Heat once again find themselves in the play-in tournament, but they have also had a lot of success.

In 2023, they went all the way to the NBA Finals (after being in the play-in).

This season, the team went 17-24 in the 41 games they played away from Miami.

The Heat are coming off a year where they got swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (after winning their way through the play-in).

They still have a very talented roster led by Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo that could give any team in the Eastern Conference troubles (in a seven-game series).

Hornets Right Now

The Hornets are looking to reach the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season.

They are the ninth seed with a 44-38 record.

At home, the Hornets are 21-20 in 41 games.
