Maxx Crosby has made a definitive statement about his future, shutting the door on any lingering speculation that the Buffalo Bills could make a run at him.
The Bills had been one of the teams in the running to land the Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher before his team agreed to terms on a trade with the Baltimore Ravens. That trade blew up this week after the Ravens balked at the results of Crosby’s physical, sending the star player’s future into doubt.
Though there had been some chance for the Bills to re-engage, Crosby now appears to be staying put in Las Vegas.
Maxx Crosby Won’t Be Coming to Buffalo
Crosby took to social media late on Wednesday to confirm that he’ll be returning to the Raiders for the 2026 season.
âEverything Happens For A Reason,â Crosby shared in a post on X. âBelieve Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. Iâm A Raider. Iâm Back. Run That Sh*t.â
Insiders already believed that the Bills dropped out of the running prior to Crosby’s statement on Wednesday, however. NFL Network insider Cameron Wolfe said the Bills decided not to make a second attempt at a trade after their first one had been rejected.
âThe cap situation may be too difficult to make it work⦠what they may have had a few weeks ago is not what they currently have,â Wolfe said, via SI.comâs Alex Brasky.
