Matthew Fitzpatrick and wife, Katherine Fitzpatrick, are having quite a start to 2026. The couple announced they are expecting their first child which is slated to arrive this summer.
Additionally, Matt notched two recent PGA Tour wins at the RBC Heritage and Valspar Championship. Matt celebrated the RBC Heritage victory with his wife, Katherine, on the 18th green which created a rare moment.
CBS Sports’ Amanda Balionis asked Katherine to be part of the national television interview just minutes after Matt won the RBC Heritage. As Golf Digest’s Alex Myers pointed out, this appears to be one of the first times a golfer’s wife has been involved in the post-tournament interview.
“Matt Fitzpatrick’s wife was right there on 18 when he won on Sunday,” Myers wrote in an April 21, 2026, story titled, “Matt Fitzpatrick’s funny break-the-ice moment, a caddie’s $14 million estate and an unofficial first in golf WAGs history.”
“In fact, she became part of his post-round interview with CBS’ Amanda Balionis. That might be a first in golf WAGs history.”
