A man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in Beverly Tuesday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
The man, 32, was in a parking lot in the 9400 block of South Ashland Avenue at 3:30 p.m. when a person walked up and fired shots, hitting him in the abdomen, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is in custody; a handgun was recovered at the scene, police said.
