Man seriously injured in Englewood shooting

A man was seriously injured in a shooting in Englewood Tuesday night, according to Chicago police.

The man, 36, was sitting near the sidewalk in the 7300 block of South Union Avenue around 6:15 p.m. when multiple people approached him and at least one fired shots, police said in a statement. He was shot several times and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.


No one is in custody, police said.
