A man was fatally struck in the head by gunfire in Englewood Sunday afternoon and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago police said.
The victim was pronounced at the hospital, police said.
The victim had in the 1300 block of West 73rd Place in the Englewood neighborhood at about 4:19 p.m. when he was struck in the head by gunfire, police said.
The victim’s age remained unknown Sunday evening.
Police said there were no updates available, and the shooting remained under investigation by area detectives.
