A man was fatally shot Tuesday night in the East Side neighborhood.
The man, 18, was in the 10000 block of South Avenue M around 7 p.m. when he was struck in the head by gunfire, Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Area detectives were investigating.
