Man fatally shot in Austin

Police are looking for occupants of a black sport utility vehicle who were responsible for the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man Monday morning in Austin.

The man, 25, was outside in the 4800 block of West Lake Street around 8:40 a.m. when a black SUV approached and two occupants opened fire, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the neck and back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he died, police said.

No one, including the two shooters who returned to the SUV and fled east, was arrested in the attack.


Area 4 detectives are investigating.
