A 31-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in Chatham, Chicago police said.
The man was on the sidewalk along the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue about 1:47 p.m. when he was shot by an unknown person, police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
