Man arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography

Internet Crimes Against Children investigators arrested Brett Mellott, 33, on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography on Thursday, according to an X post from the Arapahoe Sheriff’s office.

Investigators received a tip that Mellott was sharing images of child pornography and obtained a search warrant before arresting him at his home in the 6800 block of South Ivy Way.

He is facing a felony charge of Sexual Exploitation of Children and other possible criminal charges are pending.
