Los Angeles Dodgers Star Shohei Ohtani Made History In Blue Jays Game

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers are playing the Toronto Blue Jays in Canada.

The Dodgers won each of the first two games.

Shohei Ohtani got the start on Wednesday, going six innings with two strikeouts and no earned runs.

He also made team history with his performance.

Sarah Langs of MLB.com wrote: “Shohei Ohtani is the first Dodgers pitcher to start a season with consecutive outings of 6+ innings & no earned runs since Kenta Maeda in 2016

Only Dodger to begin a season with 3 or more consecutive such outings since ER official in NL (1912): 1985 Fernando Valenzuela, 4″

Ohtani had been coming off a start where he went six innings (and allowed one hit).

He is also batting .286 with three home runs, eight RBI’s and seven runs in 11 games.

Noah Camras of Dodgers OnSI wrote: “Shohei Ohtani didn’t have his best stuff on Wednesday against the Blue Jays. He still managed to put together a strong outing for the Dodgers:

He now has a 0.00 ERA across 12 innings to start the season.”
