Los Angeles Dodgers Star Freddie Freeman On Verge Of MLB History Against Rangers

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers will open up a series with the Texas Rangers in California.

They are coming off a 4-3 loss against the Toronto Blue Jays (in Canada) on Thursday.

Freddie Freeman finished Thursday’s game with two hits and one RBI in five at-bats.

In Friday’s game, Freeman has a chance to make MLB history.

He needs just one home run to pass Hall of Famer Gil Hodges (370) on the all-time list.

Freeman would then be tied with New York Yankees star Aaron Judge for 83rd.

Freeman is currently batting .275 with three home runs, 13 RBI’s and six runs in his first 12 games of the 2026 season.

He is in his fifth year playing for Los Angeles.

Freeman was picked in the second round of the 2007 MLB Draft.

The 36-year-old spent the first 12 years of his career playing for the Atlanta Braves.

In that span, he made five All-Star Games (and helped lead them to the 2021 World Series Championship).

Freeman then signed with the Dodgers before the 2022 season.

He has made the All-Star Game in each of the first four years he has been with the franchise.

They have also won the World Series Championship the last two years.

The Dodgers come into their series with the Rangers as the top team in the National League West with a 9-3 record in 12 games.

They are 4-2 in the six games they have played at home in Los Angeles.

Following the Rangers, the Dodgers will play their next series on April 13 when they host the New York Mets.
