For Sunday’s game, the Dodgers have already announced that Muncy will not be in the lineup.
Dodger Blue wrote (via X): “Max Muncy will be out of the lineup tomorrow, and then back in there on Monday.”
The 35-year-old is still one of the most valuable players on the Dodgers.
He is currently batting .300 with nine home runs, 11 RBI’s and 22 runs in 26 games this season.
@DodgerInsider wrote during the game: “Santiago Espinal is pinch running for Max Muncy, who reached base in all three plate appearances today. Dave Roberts mentioned earlier that Muncy has been under the weather.”
Muncy’s Career
Muncy was picked in the 41st round of the 2009 MLB Draft.
He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Athletics.
The two-time All-Star has been with the Dodgers for each of the last nine years.
There is no question that Muncy is on the verge of becoming a franchise legend.

Muncy has helped lead the Dodgers to three World Series Championships.
He has hit three home runs in each of the previous two postseasons.
Over 1,045 career games, Muncy is batting .231 with 222 home runs and 613 RBI’s.
