Ahead of Saturday’s game, the Dodgers announced that they had claimed a player off waivers from the Cubs.

The Dodgers wrote (via X): “The Dodgers claimed LHP Charlie Barnes from the Chicago Cubs. In order to make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred IF/OF Tommy Edman to the 60-day injured list.”

Barnes has spent part of two seasons in the MLB with the Minnesota Twins (and Cubs).

He had pitched in one game of the Cubs this season (before getting designated for assignment).

Over 10 career games, the 30-year-old has gone 0-3 with a 6.15 ERA.
