Kalen DeBoer Reveals Which Alabama WR Stood Out in Friday Scrimmage

Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team wrapped up their second spring scrimmage on Friday, as the team is now on a mini break to celebrate Easter Weekend.

Most of the spring competition conversation has been dominated by the quarterbacks and the offensive line, but one key position can’t be overlooked: wide receiver.

When asked about which receiver stepped up and looked the best during Friday’s scrimmage, Coach DeBoer didn’t hesitate.

His answer? Noah Rogers.

Kalen DeBoer Raves Over WR Noah Rogers

DeBoer didn’t just name Rogers, either; he gave him a glowing review.

“Noah [Rogers]. Noah has been consistent. He had a couple nice catches and some big plays. I thought he was there when we needed to. Even just sometimes short ones where you got to move the chains. Maybe it’s not just complete natural catch. He’d probably be the one that stood out the most.”

DeBoer’s comments point to one key trait that separates Rogers right now: consistency.

Consistency is one of the most important qualities for any position group, and Alabama needs consistency from everyone if they want to improve in 2026.

Who is Noah Rogers?

Rogers is a former five-star prospect who originally played for the Ohio State Buckeyes before transferring after one season to move back home to play for the NC State Wolfpack.

In his two seasons with the Wolfpack, Rogers tallied 919 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Talent has never been an issue; it’s been consistency. If Rogers has finally found that, we might see why he came out of high school with such promise.

Alabama WR Depth Chart

Rogers’ emergence has changed the Alabama wide receiver room. The Crimson Tide was bringing back stars such as Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzier Brooks, but they needed someone else to step up and be a solid No. 3 option for whoever the quarterback is, and it appears Rogers has done just that.

Alabama could have a sneaky good wide receiver room in 2026.
