Days after WrestleMania 42, the 17-time World Champion hinted that he had “something special” in store for the WWE universe.
On Monday, Cena doubled down on his promise, teasing on social media that he had news that will affect WWE Superstars and fans.
“It’s official! I’m headed to #WWEBacklash! After months of planning and effort, I am SO excited to break some history-making news! I can’t promise it’ll be perfect but I can promise it will change the WWE experience for Superstars and fans!
C U Live Saturday in Tampa or at home on the @espn app!”

Cena’s highly-anticipated appearance adds to a stacked WWE Backlash card that already boasts two championship matches.
Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu in the main event match. Freshly minted United States champion Trick Williams will compete in his first career WWE title defense against challenger Sami Zayn.

When deciphering Cena’s promise to deliver news that will “change the WWE experience” for Superstars and fans, it’s possible that he could provide more insight on Club WWE.
Club WWE was announced during the April 13, 2026 episode of RAW on Netfix as a new “ultimate insider” membership for wrestling fans.
“WWE has announced the launch of Club WWE, the ultimate insider membership program designed to bring fans closer to WWE than ever before through exclusive access, rewards and experiences,” the company said in a press release.
“Club WWE will serve as a dedicated destination for WWE fans offering a wide host of benefits across ticketing, merchandise, community and content – all in one place. Fans interested in becoming a Founding Member can join the waitlist now by visiting WWE.com/ClubWWE.”
Club WWE members will have access to a premium benefits. This includes early access to ticket sales, exclusive merchandise drops, bonus WWE content and more exclusive perks.
