Jannik Sinner’s Girlfriend Laila in Star-Studded Box at Monte-Carlo Masters

Jannik Sinner is gunning to become the world’s No. 1-ranked men’s tennis player at the 2026 Monte Carlo Open.

After defeating Félix Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 6-6 in the quarterfinals, Sinner moves on to face Alexander Zverev (No. 3) in the semifinals on April 11.

Should Sinner, currently ranked No. 2, advance to the final and Carlos Alcaraz does not, he automatically usurps the No. 1 title from the Spanish star. If Alcaraz defeats Valentin Vacherot in the semifinal and advances to the final, he must beat Sinner to retain his No. 1 ranking.

Sinner is on a hot streak, extending his ATP Masters 1000 winning streak to 20 matches at the Monte Carlo Country Club. The 24-year-old, however, battled through a sickness earlier in the tournament.

“Yeah, I feel like a step forward today,” he told Tennis TV after his semifinal win. “The serve is not there yet, where I would to, but all things considered, I’m very happy.”

Cheering on Sinner in Italy, his girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic. While Hasanovic missed Sinner becoming the first male tennis player since Roger Federer in 2017 to win the “Sunshine Double” amid his victories at the Miami Open and Indian Wells last month, the Danish model is drawing attention in Monte-Carlo.

Hasanovic, a finalist in the 2019 Miss Universe Denmark pageant, is familiar with the Formula 1 world as she previously dated former F1 driver Mick Schumacher.

While fans were quick to link Sinner to Laila Hasanovic last year after she attended numerous of his matches, including at Wimbledon, the four-time Grand Slam champion initially shut down relationship rumors.

“There’s a lot of attention,” said Sinner during a press conference during the Italian Open in May 2025. “Also, off the court, I was surprised to see some pictures, which, nothing serious. I’m not in a relationship!”

Overall, Sinner likes to keep his private out of the spotlight. He told Vanity Fair Italia in February 2024, “I like talking about tennis, and sports in general. But if you’re referring to my private life, it’s true, I want to keep it that way. I want to protect the people closest to me, keeping them out of all this.”

During his previous relationship with tennis pro Anna Kalinskaya,  “We keep everything very confidential,” he said, per Tennis.com. “I won’t say more.”
