The Fitzpatrick brothers entered the tournament in New Orleans this past weekend with their family by their side, including Alex’s longterm girlfriend, Rachel Kuehn. The couple met while attending Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and they quickly bonded over their mutual love for golf. Kuehn is a decorated amateur player on the women’s side of the sport. She’s even a former world No. 4 amateur, as reported by Essentially Sports. Together the pair have been able to support each other’s rising careers as Alex has competed globally alongside his brother, and Rachel has also advanced through the ranks of the sport as a three-time Curtis Cup competitor per Golf Monthly.
According to Golf Magic, Alex Fitzpatrick and Rachel Kuehn began dating in 2023 – though reports reveal that they met in 2020 and formed a reliable friendship that became the foundation of their current romance. Both were competitive student-athletes at Wake Forest, with Kuehn attending from 2019-2024 and Fitzpatrick attending the university from 2018-2022.

One unique aspect of the couple’s crossover between their love for one another and their love of golf is that Alex Fitzpatrick has taken on the role of caddying for Rachel Kuehn during multiple competitions over the past several years. Most notably was his role as her caddie at the 2023 and 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournaments. Alex has expressed how his position as Rachel’s caddie has brought the couple closer together in their relationship.
