Insider Delivers Major Klint Kubiak News to Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders received major news from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. Las Vegas appear to have zeroed in on Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next head coach. However, they aren’t alone in their interest in Kubiak.

During a Jan. 30 appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show,” Schefter noted that Kubiak will be getting a head coaching job this cycle.

“Klint Kubiak is getting the Raiders or the Cardinals job.. He’s definitely getting one of those jobs,” Schefter said.

Nonetheless, with the Arizona Cardinals in the mix, the Jan. 29 report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler makes a little more sense, as Las Vegas need a Plan B in case Kubiak decides to head to Arizona.

“Eyes on Klint Kubiak for the Raiders job, but Panthers DC Ejiro Evero is still in the mix there,” Fowler wrote on X on Jan. 29. “Some candidates have been eliminated but he has not. He conveyed detailed QB/offensive plan in in-person meeting with Raiders. Raiders regime and Evero have Denver ties.”

Klint Kubiak Checks All the Boxes for the Raiders

With the Silver and Black having their No. 1 candidate for their head coach job within their grasp, former Raiders standout Kirk Morrison shared his take on the Seahawks coach.

“I think he checks a lot of the boxes,” Morrison said on the Jan. 28 edition of “Upon Further Review.” “You saw his offense not only just on the NFC conference championship game, but also throughout the whole entire season.

“I think even bigger is that you saw the offense uh with Sam Darnold who’s been a quarterback that’s bounced around the league and you know had success last year in Minnesota and really found a home you know in Seattle.”

Seahawks QB Sam Darnold has thrived under Kubiak in his first season in Seattle. Darnold has had a passer rating of 99.1 with 4,048 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions in 17 games for Seattle this season with Kubiak as offensive coordinator, per Stat Muse.

Seahawks Offense Looks Very Enticing for Las Vegas

Morrison also pointed out that Kubiak’s work transforming the Seahawks offense into a smooth, efficient unit, particularly during the playoffs, has caught the attention of teams such as the Raiders, who are eager to see what he could bring to the table.

“I think what also intrigues me about Klint Kubiak is that it seems that he’s the kind of coach that has a system and a scheme that gets guys open, that gets guys to be at their best, and understanding that whatever the defense presents, you can have options, Morrison added. “You can have things at your disposal.

“We’re going off one of the best job interviews in terms of what’s happened in these games so far in the playoffs, and his offense has done pretty darn good, led them to a Super Bowl. So now you’re kind of envisioning what that would look like for your football team if you’re the Raiders. And that’s kind of where the excitement has kind of come from.”
