I-70 westbound reopened at Eisenhower Tunnel; U.S. 6 still closed over Loveland Pass

Interstate 70 westbound has reopened at the Eisenhower Tunnel after a closure due to safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The Interstate reopened about 1 p.m.

U.S. 6 in both directions is still closed due to safety concerns.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder expected heavy snow to continue falling in the mountains Sunday, and a winter storm is in effect through Monday.
