Houston Rockets Make Alperen Sengun Announcement Before Lakers Game

On Monday night, the Houston Rockets will play the Los Angeles Lakers (at home) in Texas.

The Rockets are coming off a 107-105 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans (also at home).

Alperen Sengun did not play in the game.

For Monday’s game, the Rockets have announced that Sengun will be listed as questionable.

Law Murray of The Athletic wrote: “The Houston Rockets report that Alperen Sengun (back) is questionable vs Lakers”

Sengun is in the middle of another big season with averages of 20.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 50.3% from the field and 27.9% from three-point range in 58 games.

He is in his fifth NBA season (all with the Rockets).

The Rockets are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 41-25 record in 66 games.

At home, Rockets are 23-8 in the 31 games they have played in Houston.

The Rockets are coming off a year where they broke their playoff drought (and were the second seed).

However, they lost to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (in seven games).
