According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the crash happened at mile point 268 between Colo. 391 and Exit 269A for Colo. 121/Wadsworth Boulevard.

Only one lane is open for motorists to pass, so officials are encouraging travelers to seek alternate routes.

Wheat Ridge police stated on X that two pickup trucks also were involved in the crash. One pickup truck left the scene after cutting off the second pickup, which caused it to spin out in front of the semi, leading to the crash.
