Golden State Warriors Make Kristaps Porzingis Announcement Before Kings Game

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors will host the Sacramento Kings at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Warriors are coming off a 117-116 loss to the Houston Rockets (also at home).

Kristaps Porzingis finished with nine points, eight rebounds and three assists while shooting 3/9 from the field and 0/3 from three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time.

For Tuesday’s game, the Warriors could be without Porzingis.

The 2018 NBA All-Star is being listed as questionable on the injury report.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Kristaps Porzingis (knee) listed questionable for Tuesday.”

Porzingis was traded to the Warriors (via the Atlanta Hawks) earlier this season.

He is averaging 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 44.3% from the field and 32.8% from three-point range in 13 games for Golden State.

The Warriors come into their matchup with the Kings as the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-42 record in 78 games.

They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak (and have lost seven out of ten).

Following their matchup with the Kings, the Warriors will play their next game on Thursday when they remain at home to host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors have had a tough season due to injuries.

That said, if they can go into the play-in tournament with Porzingis, Steph Curry and Draymond Green, they could easily end up making the 2026 NBA playoffs.

Last season, the Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs (in five games).

Kings Before Warriors Clash

On the other side of Tuesday’s showdown, the Kings have had an even tougher season.

They are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 21-58 record in 79 games.

Over their last ten games, the Kings have gone 3-7.

Following Tuesday’s game, they will host Golden State on Friday night in Sacramento.

The Kings are coming off a season where they lost in the play-in tournament.
