Golden State Warriors Announce Kristaps Porzingis Status For Pistons Game

On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors will be in Michigan to take on the Detroit Pistons.

The Warriors most recently lost to the Boston Celtics by a score of 120-99.

Kristaps Porzingis finished the loss with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 4/13 from the field and 2/7 from three-point range in 22 minutes of playing time.

For Friday’s game, the Warriors have announced their injury report.

Porzingis is not on the report (and will be available).

Porzingis was traded to Golden State (via the Atlanta Hawks) last month.

He is averaging 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest while shooting 43.2% from the field and 29.0% from three-point range in his first six games with the team.

Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area wrote (on March 16): “Kristaps Porzingis scored 30 points and made 13 free throws off the bench tonight

Before him, the last Warrior to reach those numbers off the bench was Sarunas Marciulionis in 1992, per team stats guru Darryl Arata”

Warriors And Pistons This Season

The Warriors come into the night as the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 33-36 record in 69 games.

They have only won two out of their last ten games (and are 14-21 on the road).

Following the Pistons, the Warriors will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night at State Farm Arena.

On the other side of the matchup, the Pistons are having an incredible year.

They are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 49-19 record in 68 games.

Before the Warriors, the Pistons will play the Washington Wizards on Thursday.

Last season, the Warriors lost in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

The Pistons lost in the first round.
