Giants Expected to Reunite With WR Odell Beckham: Report

Throughout the offseason, there has been endless chatter about the New York Giants and Odell Beckham Jr. reuniting. Amid recent developments, it looks as though the two sides are eventually going to come together on a deal.

While appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” on April 27th, NFL insider Adam Schefter weighed in on the current free agent wide receiver market. Beckham was one of the first names he brought up, but followed up by saying he’ll wind up in New York before the 2026 campaign gets underway.

“Odell Beckham Jr. and the Giants. It sounds like they’ll get something done here at some point in time,” Schefter said. “Odell, there’s a real chance he’ll be back with the Giants.”

In his quest to get back on a roster this upcoming season, Beckham has made it clear on numerous occasions that he is open to returning to the Giants. Things got interesting earlier this month, as the team brought him in for a private workout.

Fresh off adding more receiver depth in the draft in the form of Malachi Fields, only time will tell if New York decides to bring in the former Pro-Bowler.

Giants Coach Speaks on Possibility of Signing Odell Beckham

Aside from his previous tenure with the team, another tie Beckham has to the Giants is their new coaching hire. He and John Harbaugh have a bit of history together, with the veteran wide receiver playing for him in 2023 as a member of the Baltimore Ravens.

During a press conference with Giants GM Joe Schoen, Harbaugh was asked about the possibility of signing Beckham. He cited that he plans to speak with the veteran wideout to see if a reunion makes sense for both sides.

“Odell and I are going to talk Tuesday night and kind of see where he is at, see where we’re at, see what he’s thinking,” Harbaugh said. “I think if we do anything, just being honest about it. You know, it has to make sense for the Giants. It has to make sense for him. He’s in a different place in his career, for sure.”

Harbaugh didn’t show his hand much regarding Beckham, but he did give the wideout his praise. While speaking on the topic at the NFL Draft, he did credit him for putting together a strong workout for the team.

“He still thinks he has some juice, and he looked good in the workout,” said Harbaugh. “You still got to be able to play. It’s not going to be the old Odell. It’s going to be a different version, the 2.0 Odell I guess you would say.”

In terms of where he’s at physically, Beckham has shown he’s still capable of turning back the clock at times. While partaking in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, he pulled down a one-handed catch that had fans reminiscing about his early days in the NFL.
