Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition

Prom Dress Exchange
Prom is rite of passage for many teens. And no one should miss out on the experience simply because of the expense of getting all dressed up. Fortunately, there is an inexpensive option for families on a budget. The 25th Annual Prom Dress Exchange offers more than 2,000 gently-used dresses on March 23. The event takes place at Adams 12 Five Star Schools (1500 E. 128th Ave.) in Thornton from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students will find a range of formals from minis to ball gowns. Egg-stra Special Easter Egg Hunt
Spring is all about Easter Egg Hunts. And one of the largest is Wheat Ridge Parks & Recreation Department’s Egg-stra Special Easter Egg Hunt at Anderson Park (W. 44th Ave. & Field St.) on March 23 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event evens out the “playing field” by staggering start times by age. The park will have 7,000 colorful eggs scattered about for little bunnies and chicks to find. A handful of eggs include a prize slip hidden inside for Easter baskets, Rooted in Fun Swag and Rec Center punch cards. Families will also enjoy lots of springtime activities, including bubble machines, sidewalk chalk, carnival games and music. Antiques Roadshow Tickets
If you love antiques and hidden treasures, you are probably a fan of PBS’ hit show, Antiques Roadshow. Many wonder if that family heirloom in the basement has more value than just sentiment. And now is the time to discover its true worth because the popular show’s 2024 tour is making a stop at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms on May 29.
