Maybe Von Miller is a little more Gen Z than anyone suspected.
The chronically online — and available to work — Miller seemed to tease a reunion with the Buffalo Bills on his Instagram stories on Friday, posting several pictures of himself during his time with the Bills, including a picture with quarterback Josh Allen and a picture of himself in a Bills uniform with “unfinished business” as the caption.
“I’m thinking Von Miller is back in Buffalo,” NFL reporter Alex Brasky wrote on his official X account on Friday.
Miller, 37, played 3 seasons in Buffalo from 2022 to 2024 and was chronically injured. He missed 15 regular-season games and had the worst season of his career in 2023 with zero sacks in 12 games, although he had 8.0 sacks in 11 games in 2022 and 6.0 sacks in 13 games in 2024.
He also was paid a King’s ransom — approximately $47 million over those 3 seasons.
Miller played for the Washington Commanders in 2025 on a 1-year, $7 million contract and led the team with 9.0 sacks while playing every regular-season game for the 1st time since 2018. In an interesting twist, he was only on the field for 36 percent of Washington’s defensive snaps.
Bills Fans Might Not Welcome Miller Back
Getting Miller back at a greatly reduced rate might be appealing for Bills fans — think something along the lines of a 1-year, $5 million contract — but the lingering disappointment from his last stint in Buffalo might still be in the air.
“Two years $50m with an occasional sack here and there,” Bills Fan Chris Matteson wrote on his official X account on Friday. “Mostly put very little pressure on opposing QB. Opposing offense lines just put one guy on him. A waste of money.”
Miller has also spent the entire offseason seemingly trolling and teasing fan bases about possibly joining their teams — the same scroll of photos he put out on Friday included pictures of him with former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and also in a Commanders uniform.
Von Miller Teased Joining NFC’s Most Hated Team
On July 8, Miller, the Super Bowl 50 MVP, seemed to tease that he was signing a free-agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday in a pretty direct way — posting a photoshopped picture on Instagram stories of himself in a Dallas Cowboys jersey wearing the No. 24 he wore for the Commanders in 2025.
Miller used “They Don’t Know” by Paul Wall as the music over the photo, only further adding to the mystery.
“Von Miller posted a picture of himself in a Cowboys jersey on IG,” DNVR’s Zac Stevens wrote on his official X account.
Miller, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft and Super Bowl 50 MVP for the Broncos, is a Texas native and played for Texas A&M.
Through the end of the 2025 season, Miller has accumulated a staggering $198.8 million in career earnings.
“Miller played just 37 percent of the defensive snaps in 2025 but managed to log nine sacks, six tackles for loss, and 19 quarterback pressures,” Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox wrote on July 3. “He’d be a great addition to a defense that is ready to chase the Super Bowl right now.”
