Seconds after once again giving a nod to his faith, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza dropped a rare F-bomb on national television as ESPN broadcasted the national championship trophy presentation. Mendoza was accepting the offensive player of the game honor.
The star quarterback may soon be working for the man that made this quote popular if the NFL draft rumors turn out to be true.
“I first want to give all the glory to God,” Mendoza told ESPN’s Rece Davis during a January 19, 2026, postgame interview. “There’s no better group of guys I would rather do it with.
“It’s the most special part of my life. Such a great group of guys. I love you guys. Great job! Let’s (expletive) go!”
Tom Brady would approve from the potential next quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders, but ESPN may soon be hearing from the FCC after failing to cut the audio.
It just so happens that the Raiders have the No. 1 pick and could use a reset at quarterback. Here’s what you need to know about Mendoza and Indiana’s national championship victory over Miami.
