There was mass speculation about Tatum playing this season despite the devestating injury last postseason, but now, all those rumors have been turned into facts, as Tatum is set to get back on the court this season.
“BREAKING: Boston Celtics All-NBA star Jayson Tatum will play this season and could make his debut on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks – less than 10 months after surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon,” NBA insider Shams Charania wrote in a post on X.
Tatum was the leading scorer for Boston last season, but questions remain on his fit next to Jaylen Brown and the rest of the team as the Celtics have exceeded expectations despite not having the franchise star.
