Epic Pass prices increase, early bird on sale now for 2024-25 season

Vail Resorts made the first move Tuesday in the battle with rival Alterra Mountain Co. for next season’s ski pass business, announcing 8% increases and putting its 2024-25 Epic passes on sale.

The Epic Pass for next season is priced at $982, an increase of $73 over last year’s early-bird price. The Epic Local pass costs $731, an increase of $55 over last year.

Vail typically announces its prices before Alterra reveals how it will price its Ikon Passes, and that is the case again this year. Last year, Alterra announced its prices two days after Vail. The cost of an Ikon Pass then was $1,159, which was $250 more than the equivalent Epic Pass. The cost of the Ikon Base Pass a year ago was $829, which was $153 more than the comparable Epic Local Pass.
