Eastbound Interstate 70 is closed in Aurora for police activity in the area, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The highway was closed at Interstate 225 as of 4:51 p.m., CDOT Officials said in an alert. Drivers should expect delays in the area.
The Aurora Police Department is assisting the Denver Police Department with an investigation in the area, Aurora police officials said.
The Denver Police Department could not immediately be reached for comment on the nature of the investigation.
Traffic cameras in the area show eastbound traffic backed up to Central Park Boulevard.
