East Bay pets of the week for May 31

Hi, I’m Della! I’m a bouncy, energetic love bug ready to bring joy to my new home! I need lots of fun activities like walks, runs and play dates to stay happy. A puppy training class would be great for learning manners and making friends! I love tummy rubs and warm pets and will be your best friend for life. Since I’m still young, I can’t be left alone for more than a few hours, so please have a plan before bringing me home! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Bordeaux is such an expressive, lovely old soul. If this white-muzzled 8-year-old were a human he’d likely be an actor. We suspect Bordeaux knows he’s melting our hearts when he picks up his food bowl at mealtime. He’s laid back, well-mannered and easy to walk. He’s a true gentleman, though he might pull on the leash if he sees a small dog or bird. Bolo is a happy, good looking Pit Bull. He doesn’t know how cute he is because he’s blind and has been since birth. Bolo almost lost his life because of his “special needs” but we rescued him just in time. We’re looking for a home for Bolo where he can be the only dog. If you have experience with a blind animal or are interested in learning, or for information on any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
