East Bay pets of the week for March 8

Hi there, my name is Chief. I’m an energetic 2-month-old puppy who loves to play and have fun! I’m always up for an adventure, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. I also enjoy some cuddles and snuggles! However, I’ll need some training to be the best puppy I can be. Also, please keep in mind that I’ll need frequent potty breaks and plenty of activities to keep me entertained. If you’re up for the challenge, I can’t wait to meet you! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Wonderful Vermillion is a chonky St. Bernard mix who is crazy about people and has proven himself to be a great family dog. This gentle giant will try to hoist all 95 pounds of his sweet self onto the nearest lap. He’s easy to walk w a harness, gets along fine with other dogs, and LOVES going for rides in the car. In fact, Vermillion prefers the driver’s seat, but he doesn’t have his license yet. He’s really good in dog-friendly stores, too! This big guy is a happy, good-looking pit bull. Bolo doesn’t know how cute he looks because he’s blind — and he’s been so since birth. He almost lost his life because of his “special needs” but we rescued him just in time. We’re looking for a home for Bolo where he can be the only dog. If you have experience with blind animals we’d love to tell you about him. For more information about this or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
