East Bay pets of the week for Feb. 9

I’m Selina! I’m a lovely and friendly girl who will be sure to croon you some love songs once in my home! I may be a bit shy at first, but let me assure you, once I get acclimated to my surroundings you’ll see just how sweet and affectionate I can be. So if you have a calm and loving home with a little patience to spare (and no other cats, please), I would love to be your new furry family member. (Indoors only, please.) Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

True to her name, she’ll melt into your lap and your heart. While she’s cautious around new faces, once Brie warms up she’s all affection and playfulness. Brie loves her toys and wants to be part of every human activity. She deserves a family of her own to love and care for her, just as she has done for her puppies. Could you be the one? Meet her at our Dublin Adoption Center today! The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on EBSPCA programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

Samantha radiates pure joy. She’s a smiler who seems to revel in life despite living in a shelter. If she were a person, she’d be someone who naturally sees the glass as half full. Samantha’s been with us for a year now, which we can’t believe. She’s almost 2, quite small for her breed, easy to walk, and a lot of fun. She’s fairly high energy so best w a family without young children. To meet Samantha at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.
