East Bay pets of the week for Feb. 20

Hi, I’m Alfie! I’m a fun kitty who loves action and adventure. I enjoy pets, warm cuddles and curling up beside you for a cozy nap. When I’m feeling playful, I love chasing cat wands and climbing cat posts. Churu is my favorite sweet treat and a very quick way to win me over. I bring a great mix of playful energy and affectionate moments, so I’m ready to meet my new best friend. Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Bentley is a large, uniquely handsome goofball who believes personal space is a myth and laughter is a daily requirement. With his one-of-a-kind looks and oversized heart, Bentley has mastered the art of making people smile just by existing. He’s the kind of dog who will lean his entire body into you for affection, flop dramatically for belly rubs, then stare at you like you are the best thing that’s ever happened to him. (Spoiler: you are.) Meet up with Bentley in Dublin or visit him online at eastbayspca.org/adopt/adopt-a-dog#64433. The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

Tapioca has had quite the journey with us! From a fearful puppy to a regal learning pup, Tapioca (sweetly referred to as “Tappy”) is a great listener and so playful. She’s great with other dogs and needs someone who is open to continuing her training. She’s sweet, playful and always ready to snuggle. She’s even picked up a fair few tricks, like a little piano playing! Tappy is in foster and is looking for her perfect human. To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Adopt Earl and Mateo! Earl is absolutely gorgeous, with Maine Coon- and Siberian-like features, longer fluffy gray-and-white rabbit-soft fur, plus the sweetest pink nose. The biggest in the litter, he’s a loving boy who stays close to his foster mom, always seeking pets. Mateo, his devoted sidekick, has slightly shorter fluffy fur and shares Earl’s gentle, playful nature. These two bonded cats are incredibly sweet and well-mannered. To meet them please contact Lori at 209-996-8870 or Whisker2love@gmail.com. Community Concern for Cats now holds weekend adoption events at Pet Food Express stores in Walnut Creek and Martinez along with our regular location at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek.
