Former Philadelphia Eagles center, Super Bowl winner, and franchise legend Jason Kelce got some big news this week following his golf broadcasting debut. Following his excellent playing career, Kelce has become a lovable media personality, doing everything from hosting his own podcast to anchoring Amazon’s Thursday Night Football coverage during the season.
Now that he’s a few years removed from retirement, the Eagles legends is continuing to diversify his talent. Earlier in March, Kelce began his golf broadcasting career at TGL. That success has propelled him into the next stage of his broadcasting career.
A former sixth-round pick by the Eagles out of Cincinnati in 2011, Kelce spent his entire 12-year NFL career in Philadelphia. He was a six-time first-team All-Pro, made seven Pro Bowls, and won Super Bowl LII with the Eagles in 2017. He’s one of the most decorated Eagles players of all time and will have a case for the Hall of Fame once he’s eligible in three years.

Following his golf broadcasting debut earlier this month, ESPN rushed to get him more opportunities. On Tuesday, it was announced that Kelce will be the on-course reporter at Augusta National next week, pulling duties at The Masters Par 3 Contest, per David Rumsey.
Kelce’s infectious personality and genuine enthusiasm for his work makes him ideally suited for his new role. Even outside of Philadelphia, he’s one of the best-known and most widely beloved retired NFL players out there, partly due to how active he still is in the media. His brother’s fame certainly helps, too, but Kelce’s own commitment to his craft has won a lot of people over.
The Philadelphia Eagles Will Likely Look to the Trenches in the First Round of the Draft
The Eagles are picking at No. 23 overall in this upcoming draft — they also have picks Nos. 54, 68, and 98 in the top 100. That’s one first-, one second-, and two third-round picks.
That’s a lot of draft ammunition, and the Eagles will almost certainly put it to good use. One area they will likely look to attack is the trenches, on both sides of the ball. Philadelphia’s offensive line is starting to look a little shaky for the first time in year, and they could use more depth there. Meanwhile, pass rush was a weakness on last season’s squad, and the Eagles could look to add reinforcements there as well.
In the first round, the Eagles should have ample opportunity to draft a top-flight pass rusher. Miami’s Akheem Mesidor, Central Florida’s Malachi Lawrence, Clemson’s T.J. Parker, Tennessee’s Joshua Josephs, and Texas A&M’s Cashius Howell are just some of the names they could take in the spot.
On the offensive line, Penn State G Olaivavega Ioane, Georgia OT Monroe Freeling, and Arizona State OT Max Iheanachor are the top options with a chance to be available at the Eagles’ pick.
