The Philadelphia Eagles have been loosely connected to a major pass-rush addition this offseason. But one new hypothetical takes things to another level.
Chase Senior recently laid out a scenario where Philadelphia could land 2x Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett in a true blockbuster. The framework centers around A.J. Brown and multiple first-round picks, creating the kind of deal that would immediately reshape both franchises.
âThis is how the Philadelphia Eagles could realistically trade for Myles Garrett,â Senior said. âHowie Roseman was very interested in trading for Garrett last offseason.â
That detail matters.
Philadelphia has already shown a willingness to pursue elite defensive talent. The front office has never been shy about making aggressive moves when its championship window is open.
With cap flexibility expected to increase after June 1, the path to a deal like this becomes at least somewhat realistic.
Itâs still a long shot, but itâs not random speculation either.
Senior also pointed to a key connection that could factor into negotiations.
âBrowns GM Andrew Berry used to work under Howie,â he noted.
That familiarity, combined with Clevelandâs recent contract restructure for Garrett, has opened the door for conversations that otherwise might not exist.
A.J. Brown Could Be the Centerpiece of Eagles Blockbuster Deal for Myles Garrett
The most eye-catching part of the proposal is the inclusion of A.J. Brown.
Seniorâs primary structure involves Philadelphia sending Brown along with multiple first-round picks in exchange for Garrett. Itâs a massive price, but one that reflects the value of arguably the most dominant defensive player in football.
âEagles receive: Myles Garrett,â Senior said. âBrowns receive: A.J. Brown, 2027 first-round pick and 2028 first-round pick.â
From a roster-building standpoint, the logic is clear.
The Eagles have consistently drafted well enough to withstand the loss of future picks. At the same time, adding Garrett would instantly give the Eagles what could be the most dominant defense in the NFL.
Trade rumors around A.J. Brown have been circulating all offseason, but this is the first scenario that Eagles fans would likely fully get behind.
Adding Garrett to an already talented defensive front wouldnât just help, it could make the unit borderline unstoppable.
Eagles’ Alternate Path Involves Flipping Brown for Picks
Senior also outlined a second path that separates the deal into two moves.
Instead of sending Brown directly to Cleveland, the Eagles could first trade him elsewhere for draft capital, then use those picks to acquire Garrett.
âJune 2: Eagles trade A.J. Brown to the Patriots,â Senior said. âJune 3: Eagles trade picks for Myles Garrett.â
That structure would allow Cleveland to stockpile picks for the future while giving Philadelphia more flexibility in how it constructs the deal.
It also aligns with Garrettâs recent contract adjustment, which pushed key money beyond June 1 and makes a potential trade easier to manage financially.
These proposals are just hypotheticals from an NFL analyst, but when a player of Garrett’s caliber even enters the conversation, the Eagles are going to be involved.
