Derek Jeter, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joe Burrow Star in Arena Club Campaign

Derek Jeter, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joe Burrow are turning the pursuit of a valuable sports card into a literal chase through Miami.

The three stars headline “The Chase,” a new national campaign from sports collectibles platform Arena Club that debuted on August 6. The campaign crosses baseball, basketball and football while promoting the anticipation collectors experience when opening a pack or searching for a coveted card.

The television commercial begins when a collector spots Jeter buying a hot dog in Miami and calls out the former New York Yankees captain’s name. Jeter takes off, prompting the fan to chase him through the city.

Giannis Antetokounmpo later finds himself fleeing another collector, while Joe Burrow becomes the final target after Jeter appears to have successfully escaped his original pursuer.

The playful premise turns the familiar phrase “chasing a card” into an actual action sequence. It also gives Arena Club a recognizable star from each of the three major American sports represented most heavily in the card-collecting market.

“Every collector knows the feeling of the chase, the anticipation, the discovery and the possibility that the next pack could hold something incredible,” Arena Club CEO and co-founder Brian Lee said in the company’s announcement.

“Bringing Derek, Giannis and Joe together felt like the perfect way to bring that feeling to life.”

Arena Club Campaign Expands Beyond Derek Jeter

Jeter is more than the campaign’s most decorated retired athlete. He co-founded Arena Club with Lee and has become the company’s most visible public representative.

Arena Club launched its first television campaign featuring Jeter in 2025. That “Opening Day” spot focused on the optimism associated with beginning a new season and opening a Slab Pack, Arena Club’s digital pack backed by physical graded cards.

“The Chase,” developed with creative agency Orchard, represents an expansion of that strategy.

Instead of relying on Jeter alone, Arena Club has added Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP and Miami Heat star, and Burrow, the Cincinnati Bengals’ franchise quarterback. Their involvement allows the company to reach three different groups of team and player collectors within a single campaign.

“As someone who has always appreciated the history and storytelling behind every card, I’m excited about how we’re making that experience more accessible to more fans,” Jeter said in the release.

“We had a great time making ‘The Chase.’ It really captures that anticipation factor of what you might find next when you’re a collector.”

Golden Slabs Give Collectors a Stake in ‘The Chase’

The campaign will extend beyond the television commercial beginning in September.

Arena Club said it will place 40 “Golden Slabs” in select Slab Packs from September through December, releasing 10 per month. Finding one will earn the collector an entry for a chance to win what the company calls an “ultimate football weekend” in Los Angeles in February 2027.

According to the announcement, the prize will include premium travel and accommodations, two tickets to the biggest football game of the year and access to exclusive experiences during game week.

That promotion gives the campaign a direct connection to Arena Club’s product. The commercial sells the emotion of pursuing a star or rare card, while the Golden Slabs give collectors an identifiable item to pursue.

Arena Club had not included complete eligibility requirements, entry alternatives, prize values or odds in the provided campaign announcement. Collectors should review the official rules when the company makes them available before purchasing packs or entering the promotion.

The company has previously used high-value giveaways to attract collectors. Earlier in 2026, it ran a sweepstakes for a PSA 10 Pokémon Gold Star Pikachu card that Arena Club valued at $150,000. That promotion included a no-purchase entry method and separate official eligibility rules.

Arena Club’s platform combines a card marketplace with grading, digital verification, trading and online showrooms. Its Slab Packs offer collectors a digitally opened product tied to physical cards, which can then be held, traded or sold through the platform.

The new campaign’s message is considerably simpler: Whether a fan follows Jeter, Antetokounmpo or Burrow, the excitement comes from not knowing which card — or sports star — might appear next.
