A Denver jail deputy was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault related to domestic violence, Denver Sheriff Department officials said Wednesday.

El Paso deputy allegedly pointed gun, assaulted man

Lauren Vialpando, 31, was arrested by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, according to jail records.

Vialpando was hired as a deputy sheriff in 2017 and is assigned to the Denver County Jail. She is on investigatory leave and the agency’s public integrity division opened an investigation into the case, according to a news release.
