Dead body found floating in canal near northeastern Colorado Lake

Police are investigating after a dead body was found floating in a canal near Windsor Lake in northeastern Colorado Friday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m. Friday, Windsor police officers responded to a call reporting a dead man who had been found floating in the canal near the intersection of Colorado 257 and 7th Street, near the north side of Windsor Lake, according to a Saturday news release from the department.

The incident is still under investigation, but no foul play is suspected. The man will be identified by the Weld County Coroner.
