On Saturday at WWE Backlash, Danhausen introduced Minihausen as his tag team partner against The Miz and Kit Wilson.
The Very Nice, Very Evil star used a “cloning machine” to create his partner, with Minihausen causing chaos in the match. The Hausens won a fast-paced match after the “curse” worked once again on The Miz and Wilson.
But who was the man behind the Minihausen mask?

Based on what Minihausen was doing inside the ring, it was obvious that he was a pro wrestler despite his size. Michael Cole also speculated that Minihausen could be a luchador due to how he performed in the match.
According to PW Insider Elite, a former WWE star was behind the Minihausen mask. Minihausen is actually Mascarita Dorado, more famously known as El Torito.
El Torito was signed to WWE from 2013 to 2016 as part of Los Matadores. He served as the team’s bull mascot, though he had a highly acclaimed WeeLC match against Hornswoggle at Extreme Rules 2014.
After getting released by WWE, El Torito went back to his Mascarita Dorada ring name and performed on the independent circuit. He actually returned to the company last year under the AAA banner, but he’s reportedly under a freelancer deal.
With Danhausen’s popularity, it wouldn’t be surprising if WWE keeps using Minihausen on the main roster, especially if the feud against The Miz and Kit Wilson continues after Backlash.
Before Minihausen’s reveal, there were rumors that Danhausen’s mystery partner could be CM Punk or Jelly Roll. WWE even teased that it could be the gingerbread man after Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
Danhausen Moving Lots of Merchandise

At Elimination Chamber: Chicago, Danhausen made his WWE debut. The crowd inside the United Center was baffled, but the star quickly recovered with hilarious and entertaining backstage segments.
Danhausen became a top merchandise mover in no time, with his popularity soaring heading into WrestleMania 42 last month.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Fanatics was surprised by the volume of merchandise Danhausen had sold during WrestleMania 42 week. Due to the sales, the company is reportedly looking to add the former AEW star to the Fanatics Fest lineup this July.
Speaking to Ryan Gaydos of Fox News, Booker T wasn’t surprised by Danhausen’s success and popularity in WWE.
“When Danhausen came in, everybody crapped on him, Booker said. “Everybody was like, ‘Man, what the heck is going on? This is not gonna work.’ Everybody except me. I’m literally the minority in this whole thing. I said, ‘Look, guys, I don’t know what everybody is thinking about, but when you take wrestlers and characters like Danhausen out of the wrestling business, you lose sight of what the wrestling business truly is.’”
Danhausen has become so popular that WWE has allowed him to make appearances on ESPN shows.
