Interstate 70 and U.S. 6 are closed in both directions for crashes as a snowstorm hits the mountain corridor, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Westbound I-70 is closed between exit 226 for Silver Plume and exit 221 for Bakerville and between exit 218 for Herman Gulch and exit 216 for U.S. 6 due to safety concerns, according to alerts posted on the agency’s website.

There are multiple spun-out vehicles and crashes and drivers should expect long delays, agency officials said in the alert.
Eastbound I-70 is closed between exit 203 for east Frisco and exit 216 for U.S. 6 and between exit 180 for east Vail and exit 190 for Vail Pass Summit for safety concerns.
U.S. 6 is closed in both directions between I-70 and mile point 222 near Keystone Resort.
