Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid shared a simple response when asked whether he plans to attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s upcoming wedding.
Speaking on Kansas City sports radio station 96.5 The Fan, Reid joked that his attendance may come down to whether he can still fit into formalwear by the time the ceremony arrives.
“If I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going,” Reid said with a laugh.
The Chiefs coach added that he was “probably” invited to the wedding, which multiple reports claim is expected to take place July 3 in New York City.
Reid also shared his excitement for the couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025 after dating publicly for nearly two years.
“I’m not the show, I’m just going to show up,” Reid said. “Those guys, I’m so happy for them. When you really come down to it, doesn’t matter how big the show is around them. They’re in love, and that’s the most important thing.”
Andy Reid Previously Teased Stories About Travis Kelce
This is not the first time Reid has spoken publicly about Swift and Kelce’s relationship.
Before the engagement announcement, Reid was asked during another appearance on The Fan what stories he might share if he ever spoke at a wedding for the couple.
“Well, there are a few I can’t tell,” Reid joked at the time.
He then praised Kelce’s character off the field.
“There are a lot of great stories,” Reid said. “He’s done so many good things, all the things he’s done off the field that people don’t know about, just helping people out. He’s got a big heart that way. I appreciate that the most.”
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Are Keeping Wedding Plans Private
As speculation surrounding the wedding continues to grow, several reports suggest Swift and Kelce are trying to keep details tightly controlled.
A source told People magazine in September that the couple plans to keep the ceremony private.
“It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle,” the source said. “They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy.”
TMZ later reported that Swift has personally contacted some celebrity guests rather than mailing traditional save-the-date cards.
According to the report, Swift and her team have been calling invitees directly to avoid leaks surrounding the ceremony.
Sources told TMZ guests have reportedly been informed that the wedding will happen sometime this summer, but many have not yet received an exact location or date.
Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Continue NYC Wedding Week Outings
The couple has continued making public appearances together in New York City ahead of the reported summer wedding.
On Saturday, Swift and Kelce attended a private dinner at Honey’s cocktail bar in Brooklyn.
Swift wore a gold Maria Lucia Hohan silk mousseline gown paired with Aquazzura heels and matching accessories. Kelce wore a black pinstripe suit with sunglasses and dress shoes.
Photographs showed Swift later wearing Kelce’s blazer as the pair left the dinner together hand in hand.
The outing marked Swift’s fifth public appearance in New York City that week.
Earlier in the week, the pair were seen showing PDA while arriving at Or’esh restaurant. Swift was also photographed celebrating Lena Dunham’s 40th birthday alongside friends and family and later dining at Zero Bond.
The “Cruel Summer” singer also recently spent time with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and her brother, Austin Swift, during another New York outing.
Swift and Kelce first went public with their relationship in 2023 before announcing their engagement in August 2025.
