On Wednesday, the Chicago Cubs will finish up their series with the Padres in San Diego.
The Cubs are coming off an 8-3 win on Tuesday.
Dansby Swanson finished with one hit, two RBI’s and one stolen base in one at-bat.
He left the game with an injury during the second inning.
Meghan Montemurro of The Chicago Tribune wrote: “Dansby Swanson is out of the game in the bottom of the 2nd. Nico Hoerner shifts to SS and Nicky Lopez takes over 2B. Swanson had hit an RBI double in top half of the inning.”

For Wednesday’s game, the Cubs have announced their starting lineup.
Underdog MLB wrote: “Cubs 4/29 N. Hoerner SS M. Ballesteros DH A. Bregman 3B I. Happ LF M. Busch 1B M. Conforto RF M. Shaw 2B P. Crow-Armstrong CF M. Amaya C J. Taillon SP”
Swanson will not be in the lineup.
He is batting .214 with six home runs, 23 RBI’s, 23 runs and two stolen bases in 30 games this season.
The two-time All-Star is in the middle of his fourth season as a member of the Cubs.

Swanson is one of the team’s most important players, but he will likely avoid missing any significant time based on the injury.
Right now, the Cubs are 18-12 in 30 games, which has them as the second-place team in the National League Central.
On the road, they have gone 7-7 in 14 games.
Following Wednesday’s game, the Cubs will get the day off on Thursday.
They will then return home to host the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.

Swanson had spent the first seven years of his career playing for the Atlanta Braves.
He helped lead the franchise to the 2021 World Series Championship.
