As the 2026 NCAA March Madness Tournament has unfolded, few players have captured the spotlight quite like Duke basketball player Cameron Boozer. The freshman phenom entered March Madness not just as a rising star, but as arguably the most dominant player in college basketball right now.
In addition to leading a loaded Duke Blue Devils squad through the competition in hopes of capturing the national title, Cameron Boozer has also made certain to spend quality time with his girlfriend, Yva Laure Cao, who is a cheerleader at a rival school. Now Cao has posted an update from behind-the-scenes of March Madness. Here’s everything to know about what the collegiate cheerleader has shared.
Yva Lauren and Cameron Boozer Have Been Celebrating Duke’s Success

Despite Yva Lauren being a cheerleader and student at the University of Miami in Florida, she has shared snapshots from behind-the-scenes of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament that show her fully supporting her boyfriend and the entire Duke basketball team.
Captioning the post on her Instagram account with the line, “Lots of celebrating”, it’s clear that she, Cameron Boozer, and their friends are enjoying the national tournament so far. In response, Cameron Boozer took to the comments section to write, “When Yva posts its a good day”. In every single one of her pictures, Yva Lauren is fashioning a bright smile in addition to some fashionable ensembles ranging from a white eyelet dress to ripped jeans paired with a classic black top.

Cameron Boozer has been competing in the tournament alongside his twin brother and fellow Duke basketball player, Cayden Boozer. It’s widely known that Yva Lauren Cao supports both brothers, but she has ardently supported Cameron as his biggest fan since they began dating in high school.
From Cao’s Instagram post, it’s clear that she’s a wholehearted supporter of Duke – or at least of Cameron and Cayden – despite being torn at the start of the tournament when she represented Miami on the cheer squad. In her social media snaps, she included multiple photos of herself with Cameron Boozer on the basketball court after the Duke basketball team won the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship. She’s even seen in the snapshot wearing a shirt with a screened picture of herself with Cameron.
Outside of the tournament, Yva Lauren’s post update shows that she’s been enjoying dinners and outings with friends, sipping refreshing beverages outdoors, and enjoying some fun time with her boyfriend both on and off of the basketball court following Duke’s dominance so far in the 2025-2026 season. Duke is set to face off against St. John’s on Friday, March 27, 2026 in the Sweet 16 round of March Madness competition.
