Closing out the weekend, the Denver Nuggets hosted the Golden State Warriors.
On their home court in Colorado, the Nuggets defeated the Warriors 116-93.
While the Nuggets feel good about improving in their fight for the Western Conference’s third seed, the Nuggets lost a key starter during the matchup.
Cam Johnson checked out during the second half.
After the game, the Nuggets starter assured fans he was in good shape.

During the Nuggets’ win over the Warriors, Johnson played for 19 minutes.
He left the game during the third quarter. Initially, the Nuggets announced that he was questionable to return.
Ultimately, the Nuggets decided to rule him out for the night. When Johnson called it a night, he left the court with 6 points on 2-5 shooting from the field, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.
A Look At Cam Johnson’s First Season In Denver

Johnson’s career started with the Phoenix Suns. He was a reserve role player for most of his four-year tenure with the Suns.
When Johnson was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, he was promoted to the starting lineup. He started 129 of 140 games, averaging 16.1 points and 4.4 rebounds.
Over the offseason, the Nuggets viewed Johnson as a valuable piece to their championship puzzle. Since joining the Nuggets, Johnson has started all 50 games he played.
Leading up to Sunday’s action, Johnson posted averages of 11.9 points per game, while shooting 46.8% from the field. He also produced 42.6% from three. The veteran forward came down with 3.7 rebounds per game, while dishing out 2.3 assists per game.
Despite not finishing Sunday’s action with Johnson on board, the Nuggets managed to improve to six wins in a row. They are 48-28 on the year, trailing the Lakers by just 1.0 games,
