Cade Cunningham Return for Detroit Pistons Addressed After Bucks Game

The anticipated return of Cade Cunningham took place for the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, April 8.

A little under one month since suffering a collapsed lung against the Washington Wizards on March 17, Cunningham managed to heal up and suit up for the second game of the Pistons’ final week before the playoffs.

In Detroit, Michigan, the Pistons battled against the undermanned Milwaukee Bucks. Cunningham was cleared for action after being listed as questionable. As expected, the veteran guard got the start.

When it comes to the plan for Cunningham going forward, JB Bickerstaff stated that everything will be determined purely on feel.

Cunningham will have to see how his body reacts to playing in his first NBA action. It’s been weeks since recovering from a severe setback.

The Pistons will be on the court again on Friday, April 10, to face the Charlotte Hornets. It can be assumed that Cunningham’s status is up in the air as of now.

After the matchup against the Hornets, the Pistons will take on the Indiana Pacers on the road on April 12. That game marks the regular-season finale. From then on, the Pistons will be in playoff mode as the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed.
